"Kenya: Dawn to Dusk" by Abigail Brabyn

1st to 31st August 2011

Abigail has had a keen interest in photography for as long as she can remember. In the past, Abigail has studied photography, but other professional commitments prevented her from truly developing her abilities… until recently.

Abigail was born in Botswana and spent many school holidays with her family enjoying some of the greatest safari locations Africa had to offer, in Zambia, Zimbabwe and Kenya.

Abigail and her husband married at the end of 2010 and deciding on a honeymoon location was the easiest part the wedding preparations. Having grown up in Africa, Abigail has had the opportunity to witness some spectacular wildlife, something she very much wanted to share with her husband on this very special holiday. It was in Kenya on their honeymoon that these pieces were taken.

This is Abigail’s exhibition debut, made special not only because it will be the first time she will be displaying her work to the art and photography communities, but also because these pictures are representative of both her childhood and the earliest days of her marriage.

Wildlife photography is Abigail’s passion and will be something she continues to expand and learn from. Abigail now works as a portrait photographer with her mother in both Berkshire and London.
