"Ephemeral" by Maggie Jablonska

1st to 31st March 2012

When Maggie is working with clay she is reminded that we are fragile and sensitive. We do not live forever; every moment is precious and worth remembering.

Her inspiration comes from observing nature; simple atmospheric conditions like rain, wind, clouds, which we do not notice. Weather surrounds us whenever we go, but to see how important it is we often have to change the place where we live. These elements are inevitably connected to place, and affect people. Climate is obviously one of the more influential aspects defining a site and culture.

She invite's us to stop and listen to the ice cracking and rain falling dawn.
