Darren NisbettDarren has always owned a camera. However he was never satisfied when the images he captured on film, were then developed into prints.

With the emergence of Digital photography and the digital darkroom Darren’s passion for photography was then rekindled.

Through digital photography he was able to discover images in a whole new light - 'infrared', the light that manufacturers go to great lengths to stop entering the camera.

Darren’s current exhibition consists of ethereal and other worldly landscapes where foliage glows, colours are muted and skies look black, set against abandoned and neglected places.

These images have been captured using several techniques. Some have been taken with an infrared camera converted to digital, others have used opaque filters which have been processed in monochrome with a distinct analog feel - reminiscent of the traditional inferred films like Kodak HIE which are characterised by bright halo's and deep grain noise.
