Nikolai Yudin
Nklolai Yudin (2011)
Nikolai Yudin is a 47-year old Muscovite holding a Ph.D title. He was trained as a librarian, archivist and journalist but the disintegration of the Soviet Union and change of the regime in Moscow forced him to start business ventures. He became a successful entrepreneur, and that permitted him to get back to his creative life. He contributes into many periodic publications as a photjournalist.

Nikolai Yudin went to many countries of the world to take thousands of pictures of various genres. He was especially interested in the life of peoples in the Southeast Asia. Many trips to Burma, Thailand, Cambodia and other countries allowed him to compile an extensive portfolio of genre, landscape and portrait photography of unusual and sometimes exotic nature.

He also successfully cooperates with British writer and historian V.Katamidze who writes in Russian, and the results of this cooperation are three books about the yesteryear and modern London. On the 6 April the launch of their new 640-page book London Yesterday and Today takes place at Pushkin House, centre of the Russian culture in London. Some of Nikolai's photos will be exhibited there.

Nikolai's photography is permanently represented at several colleges and his exhibitions took place in Moscow and other cities. His photos are in the book Building London, the most authoritative book about the history of the British capital. Nikolai is active in social life of his land. He received several state awards including a medal and the title of the Honorary Citizen of Novogireevo, the Moscow region he works at.
